My Blogging Oath

My Personal Blogging Oath: 

I declare to blog only when I feel inspired, and never because I feel I have to.
I will not apologize for my absence between posts.
I accept that I have no interest in maintaining a blog sponsorship program.
I promise to write from the heart, even more so than I have in the past. 
I will comment on others' blogs not because I want anything in return, but because I have love, acknowledgement, or support to share with the writer, and ask the same from my readers.
I will feel no guilt in unsubscribing or clicking away from blogs that make me feel less than or that seem to be selling to me constantly.
I promise not to concern myself with blog metrics, SEO, subscribers, keywords or page views.
I will remember I am a person and not a brand, with varied thoughts and interests that may not fit inside a specific niche.
I accept that I can't please everyone-- that's not why I'm here anyways-- and I acknowledge I might lose readers along the way.
I will continue to support artistpreneuers and small business owners whose dreams I believe in.
I will blog about life-- and never live life just to blog about it. 
I commit to never taking blogging too seriously because, hello, it's just BLOGGING :)
